Update on Bitterns Field from Thames 21

Francesca at Thames 21 has sent me (Nic Ferriday) the following update. I don’t have the ability to put on Facebook or Twitter so I hope you look at this web site!

Dear All,

One of our regular volunteers in Hanwell, Catherine, inspired me to share more about the wild flowers mix we planted in September at Bitterns Field. The meadow mix has been kindly donated by Ealing park rangers and has been germinating and flowering successfully in other parts of the Borough.

I would like also to share the pictures in the link below about a blockage not far downstream from Bitterns Field. Clearing it up would require a joint effort by Ealing park rangers, the Golf Course, EA and all of us. I shall keep you posted about dates for a river clean-up team effort. Hope you will be able to make it.

This is also a gentle reminder about the next event at Bitterns Field, happening on Sunday 29th November from 11-3pm. There will be a ruffle with the possibility to win two tickets for the London Eye.

See you soon on the river.
