Question over Sport England
Sport England has reduced Football Association funding by £1.6 million. The reason it gives is “because the number of people playing football regularly – once a week, every week – has dropped sharply.”
It is truly ironic that, at the same time, Sport England has no objection to giving away community land and football pitches to a professional football club. Thereby r helping the decline of community sport.
One wonders what Sport England’s real objectives are.
